PROJECT DETAILS

Pinnacle Scaffold provided the Washington House Condominiums (113 Main St., Newark, DE) with an overhead protection system (canopy) out front for the restaurants and main entrance and also a giant 6 story (800 lineal foot) system scaffold for exterior restoration around the building.

Pinnacle is a master of crafting functional yet attractive overhead protection systems for their clients. Our goal is to maintain safety while the construction, renovation or masonry work goes on overhead. This system canopy was no different. It allowed the Stone Balloon Ale House and all of the other businesses out front to remain open while façade work goes on around the building. This double wide canopy protects the patrons and tenants as they go about their daily routine.

The 60’ tall X 200’ long scaffold is a very large job (photos are of the job being put up) that will allow restoration crews complete access to each floor and every inch of the façade. (There is a close up of the exterior that is actually pulling away from the building.) Masonry crews will be replacing the entire façade.

This 6 story system scaffold sits on the ground next to the walkway that spans between the two buildings. It’s a very busy complex and area with the University of Delaware students traveling to and fro.

We also have a Beta Track material hoist set up next to the stair tower that helps get equipment to the crew safely and efficiently. The entire scaffold will be wrapped in debris netting to further protect the pedestrians and tenants. Trash chutes will be added to help move debris from each floor to the ground level receptacles.

The job is being done in phases so as one section finishes crews will move the scaffolding around to the next section.
